Vanitatum

Why does Vanitas have blue eyes? Why is he wearing Sora's crown? Or...why does Sora have black hair? Why is he wearing something that looks like Vanitas's darksuit? Why's he wearing two crowns?

All good questions!

This is the result of my last artwork submitted, pretty much. I wanted to have both moody, sullen Vanitas and cheerful, bright Sora in a fic, but I didn't want a love triangle with Riku. The result was this mishmash, who literally switches between two moods- bright and happy and Sora-esque, and a sullen, chain-smoking asshole who cusses like a sailor. Both are the same person trying to deal with who he is and the best way to cope with it. He calls himself Sora most of the time, but will switch to Vanitas on some occasions- neither of which is his real name.

This is actually a spoiler for the fic, given that Sora doesn't dye his hair until chapter 3.

And the two crowns? Well, one is his normal one, the one we never see Sora without unless he's shirtless . The second one...it's the Oblivion keychain, the only Keyblade to actually have Sora's symbol as the the main symbol on the keychain (Ultima Weapon has crowns on the chain, but the main part of the Keychain is another symbol).
